I have to tell you, the Zing Air Z-Curve Bow is an awesome toy! If you are looking for fun activities for boys then you need to add this one to your list.
We have had a ton of fun with it already and my son just got it. My brother and his daughter gave it to him and everyone had to try it out.
My dad set out a big garbage can propped up with the lid and we used that and a tree trunk for targets.
It is very simple to load, and surprisingly accurate. Boy, can it let the tipped arrows fly high! The packaging says it will go over 125 feet and I think that is pretty accurate.

The Zing Air Z-Curve Bow arrows are safe, red and foam tipped. I personally like that they are red as it makes them so much easier to find.
It also comes with a suction cup arrow that will stick to your walls—if that is allowed in your house 🙂
Um, I wasn’t too keen on this thing being shot at my walls as it can really put some force behind the shots, so we settled for shooting it indoors at pillows.
The real fun is outside though as it can really send those arrows flying high and far. They even whistle a bit as they go.
You do have to practice archery safety with this toy. If someone gets hit with the arrows it can really hurt.
My dad got hit, and while he was fine, he did mention that it did hurt quite a bit. Some of you may remember the old line from A Christmas Story—“you’ll shoot your eye out” LOL, so safety first!
Archery safety is a good way to prepare your boy for using a real bow and arrow someday.
A few reviewers said the bands broke easily. We have not had any problems with the bands and it has been used by both kids and adults. (update almost 2 years later: we still have the same bow and have never broken a band. And we still love it!)
I said it before, and I apologize for the repeat, but this toy is really awesome! I had as much fun with it as my son did. There are so many great learning opportunities here. Archery safety, games with targets and scoring, measuring how far, how high etc. and more.
This is great for boys who like to be outside and move around, those who enjoy aiming and trying to hit targets and even for the rest of the family—moms and dads, grandmas, grandpas included.
